Zoster Butterflyfish

My species/animal is a (fish) Zoster Butterflyfish (Hemitaurichthys zoster) is a peaceful species that is reef-safe, admired for its distinctive bright yellow band across the body contrasting with a white and blue background, moderate size, and schooling behavior. Males typically exhibit slightly brighter coloration and may be a bit larger, while females/juveniles have similar but slightly duller colors and are smaller in size. They reach about 6 inches in adult size and should be housed in aquariums of at least 75 gallons. Provide live rock for grazing, open swimming space, and some hiding spots; maintain stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020-1.025, temp ~72-79°F, pH ~8.1-8.4), and a secure lid since many species are prone to jumping. Diet should consist of a varied mix of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, high-quality pellets, and some algae, and with proper care this fish makes a standout addition to the aquarium.
