Yurple Tang

Yurple Tang (Zebrasoma flavescens × Zebrasoma xanthurum hybrid) is a jaw-dropping RARE hybrid that blends the best of two superstar tangs, delivering color, rarity, and presence like nothing else. Outgoing once settled, with a temperament combining the boldness of the Yellow Tang and the regal purple hues of the Purple Tang, this fish becomes a centerpiece you’ll never stop staring at. Adults grow to about 9-12 inches, showing dramatic fins, evolving coloration, and unique markings—no two ever identical. Best housed in a large aquarium (at least 125 gallons) with open swimming space, tons of live rock for grazing algae and resting, strong but stable water flow, and a tight lid (these guys jump). Diet should be algae/herbivore focused: marine algae sheets (nori), spirulina foods, herbivore pellets, plus occasional enrichments with frozen mysis or brine shrimp. With expert lighting and carefully managed diet, colors deepen and contrast beautifully over time.

Several species will be import-to-order and may take anywhere from 3-10 business days to secure. Once your fish is secured, you will be notified, and the quarantine process will then begin.
