White Sebae Anemone

The White Sebae Anemone (Heteractis crispa) is an aggressive invertebrate that is generally reef-safe with caution, admired for its elegant white tentacles, often tipped with subtle purple or blue hues, and for its fascinating symbiotic relationships with clownfish. Adults can reach up to 12 inches in diameter and should be housed in aquariums of at least 55 gallons.

 They require a deep sandbed for anchoring, plenty of live rock for structure, and moderate to high water flow. Stable water parameters are essential, with salinity around 1.022–1.026, temperature between 75–82°F, and pH of 8.0–8.4. A secure lid is recommended, as these anemones can move and are prone to jumping. While photosynthetic, they benefit from a carnivorous diet consisting of small fish, shrimp, and plankton.

With proper lighting, water stability, and careful selection of tank mates, the White Sebae Anemone makes a striking and dynamic addition to a marine aquarium, creating both visual appeal and a natural habitat for compatible clownfish.
