Ultra Premium Tiger Maxima Clam

My species/animal is a (fish) Ultra Premium Tiger Maxima Clam (Tridacna maxima) is a peaceful species that is reef-safe. It is admired for its striking tiger-like bold stripe patterns, vibrant coloration in shades of orange, brown, and cream, medium size, and unique textured mantle edges. Males typically display brighter and more intense coloration, while females/juveniles have softer, less vivid patterns but still show the characteristic stripes. They reach about 6–8 inches in adult size and should be housed in aquariums of at least 30 gallons. Provide a sandbed substrate with plenty of live rock for attachment and hiding spots, along with open swimming space, stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020-1.025, temp ~72-79°F, pH ~8.1-8.4), and a secure lid since many species are prone to jumping. Diet should consist of photosynthesis through symbiotic zooxanthellae algae in their mantle, supplemented with planktonic foods such as mysis, brine shrimp, and copepods. With proper care, this clam makes a standout addition to the aquarium.
