Ultra Angelfish

The Ultra Angelfish (Centropyge sp.) is a semi-aggressive species that is reef-safe with caution, admired for its striking coloration, unique patterns, and compact size that make it a centerpiece in any marine aquarium.

Males typically develop more intense coloration and slightly larger bodies, while females and juveniles display subtler shades until maturity. They reach about 4–6 inches in adult size and should be housed in aquariums of at least 70 gallons. Provide ample live rock for grazing and hiding spots, a sandy substrate, and areas of open swimming space to mimic their natural reef habitat.

Stable water parameters are essential: salinity ~1.020–1.025, temperature ~72–79°F, and pH ~8.1–8.4. A secure lid is recommended, as these angelfish are prone to jumping. Their diet should consist of a mix of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, quality pellets, and marine algae to ensure proper nutrition. With attentive care and the right environment, the Ultra Angelfish is a vibrant and rewarding addition to the aquarium.
