The Tricolor Rubrizonatus Anthias, Juvenile (Pseudanthias rubrizonatus) is a peaceful to semi-aggressive species that is reef-safe with caution, admired for its vivid tricolor pattern, small size, and graceful swimming behavior. Males typically display brighter coloration with red, orange, and yellow tones, elongated dorsal and caudal fins, and more striking markings once fully mature, while females/juveniles are smaller, predominantly orange with subtle red markings, and lack elongated fins. They reach about 4–5 inches as adults and should be housed in aquariums of at least 70–90 gallons, preferably larger if keeping multiple individuals or a harem.

Provide ample live rock with caves and crevices for hiding, open swimming areas, and a sandbed to mimic their natural reef environment. Stable water parameters are essential (salinity ~1.020–1.025, temp ~72–79°F, pH ~8.1–8.4), and a secure lid is necessary, as anthias are prone to jumping.

Their diet should consist of frozen mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, copepods, and high-quality micro pellets, offered in multiple small feedings throughout the day to support their active metabolism. With proper care, the Tricolor Rubrizonatus Anthias (Juvenile) is a colorful, lively, and reef-compatible species that adds elegance and movement to marine aquariums.
