Tracy's Damselfish

Tracy's Damselfish (Chrysiptera traceyi) is a semi-aggressive species that is reef-safe, admired for its vibrant blue coloration, small size, and hardy nature. Males typically display brighter and more intense coloration during breeding and may become territorial, while females/juveniles tend to be slightly duller in color and less aggressive.

They reach about 2.5–3 inches and should be housed in aquariums of at least 20 gallons. Provide ample live rock for hiding spots and territory, along with open swimming space, stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020–1.025, temp ~72–79°F, pH ~8.1–8.4), and a secure lid since many species are prone to jumping.

Diet should consist of a varied mix of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, quality marine pellets, and algae-based foods. With proper care, this fish makes a hardy, colorful, and active addition to the aquarium.
