Tono's Fairy Wrasse

Tono’s Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus tonozukai) is a reef-safe species with a peaceful temperament, admired for its vivid coloration and elegant behavior. Males display vibrant red/orange bodies, a long dorsal filament and red anal fin (that can appear darker in less intense light), while females and juveniles are more muted with soft orange hues, fine white lines on the back, and a black spot on the caudal peduncle. It reaches about 3-inches in adult size. Best kept in tanks of at least 75 gallons, with abundant live rock for hiding and grazing, open mid-water swimming space, a deep fine sandbed, stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020-1.026, temp ~72-79°F, pH ~8.1-8.5), and a secure lid since this species is a jumper. Diet should include carnivorous fare: live or frozen mysis and brine shrimp, copepods, and high-quality marine pellets/flakes once acclimated.
