Tigerpyge Angelfish

The Tigerpyge Angelfish (C. eibli × flavissima hybrid) is a semi-aggressive species that is considered reef-safe with caution, admired for its vivid hybrid coloration, bold patterns, unique cross-species appearance, and medium size.

Males typically display more intense coloration with bolder striping and deeper hues, while females/juveniles are generally paler with softer color blends. They reach about 6 inches (15 cm) as adults and should be housed in aquariums of at least 70–90 gallons.

Provide ample live rock for grazing and hiding spots, a sandbed, and open swimming space. Ensure stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020–1.025, temperature 72–79°F, pH 8.1–8.4), and keep a secure lid, as this species can be prone to jumping.

Their diet should consist of a variety of frozen mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, copepods, high-quality marine pellets, spirulina, and marine algae to support health and coloration. With proper care, this rare hybrid makes a standout centerpiece fish in both display and collector aquariums.
