Colin's Fairy Goby

The Colin’s Fairy Goby (Tryssogobius colini) is a peaceful species that is reef-safe, admired for its delicate translucent body with subtle patterns, small size, and graceful swimming behavior. Males typically are slightly more colorful and may display subtle courtship behaviors, while females/juveniles are smaller and more discreet in coloration. They reach about 1.5 to 2 inches and should be housed in aquariums of at least 15 gallons.

Provide a sandy substrate or fine sandbed for burrowing, plenty of live rock for hiding, and open swimming space, along with stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020–1.025, temp ~72–79°F, pH ~8.1–8.4), and a secure lid to prevent jumping. Diet should consist of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, and high-quality micro pellets, and with proper care, this fish makes a delicate and captivating addition to nano reef or peaceful marine tanks.
