Scarlet Pinstripe Wrasse

Scarlet Pin-Stripe Wrasse (Pseudocheilinus evanidus) is a reef-safe, moderate-care wrasse that adds motion, color, and natural cleanup functionality to your aquarium. It features a deep red to maroon body with delicate white/horizontal pinstripes running to the gill covers, a subtle blue line beneath each eye, and grows to about 3-4 inches. Best kept in tanks of at least 40 gallons with lots of live rock for hiding and foraging, a fine sandy substrate, shaded spots among the aquascape, stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020-1.025; temp ~72-78°F; pH ~8.1-8.4), and a secure lid since this species is an escape artist. Diet should include vitamin-enriched frozen mysis and brine shrimp, small crustaceans, and high-quality marine pellet/flake options.
