Rose Banded Fairy Wrasse

Rose-Band Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus roseafascia) is a peaceful, reef-safe species admired for its striking coloration and elegant swimming behavior. Males display a pink-red body with a pale underside, prominent yellow dorsal and anal fins edged with subtle highlights, and a distinct rose-band that runs along the side; females are softer in tone, often with lighter pinks and less pronounced fin colors. It reaches about 5½ inches in adult size. Best kept in tanks of at least 70 gallons with plenty of open water for swimming, abundant live rock for hiding and grazing, a fine sand substrate, stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020-1.025, temp ~72-78°F, pH ~8.1-8.4), and a tight lid since fairy wrasses are prone to jumping. Diet should include live or frozen meaty fare such as mysis and brine shrimp, copepods, and high-quality marine pellets once feeding reliably.
