Ritteri Anemone ([Radiantus magnifica]), a semi-aggressive species that is reef-safe with caution, admired for its vibrant coloration, long flowing tentacles, large size, and ability to host clownfish.
Males typically are similar in appearance to females but may be slightly smaller and less robust, while females/juveniles tend to have shorter tentacles and more muted coloration. They reach about 12–16 inches and should be housed in aquariums of at least 50 gallons.
Provide a sandbed, live rock for attachment, some hiding spots, and open swimming space. Maintain stable water parameters: salinity ~1.020–1.025, temperature ~72–79°F, pH ~8.1–8.4, and a secure lid, since many anemones are prone to moving or “jumping” out of the tank.
Diet should consist of meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, and small pellets, and with proper care, this species makes a standout centerpiece in a marine aquarium.
