Red-Fin Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus adornatus) is a peaceful species that is reef-safe, prized for its vibrant coloration—males show a whitish-pink to pale body with two bold red blotches near the front, and a red margin on the dorsal fin; females/juveniles are softer in hue with pinkish tones and a distinct black spot on the upper caudal peduncle. It grows to about 3½ inches adult size. Best kept in tanks of at least 50 gallons, with abundant live rock for hiding and grazing, open swimming space, a fine sand substrate, stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020-1.025, temp ~72-79°F, pH ~8.1-8.4), and a tight lid since wrasses are known to jump. Diet should include live or frozen meaty foods such as mysis and brine shrimp, copepods, and high-quality marine pellets once feeding reliably.
