Radiant Wrasse

Radiant Wrasse (Halichoeres iridis) is an absolute showstopper, a masterpiece of color and elegance that will instantly elevate any marine display. It features a dark red body that fades toward softer tones at the edges, with a blazing gold head and yellow along the dorsal fin that glow under proper lighting. Males display more intense coloration than females, and these fish often bury themselves in sand when startled, making them fascinating to observe. Best kept in tanks of at least 50 gallons, with a deep fine sandbed, plenty of live rock for hiding and grazing, stable water parameters, and a secure lid (they’re excellent jumpers). Diet should be rich and varied: live or frozen meaty foods such as mysis and brine shrimp, small crustaceans or marine pellets/flakes, all vitamin-enriched. This is an “expert-level” fish that rewards patience and care with mesmerizing color, graceful movements, and a truly radiant presence.

Several species will be import-to-order and may take anywhere from 3-10 business days to secure. Once your fish is secured, you will be notified, and the quarantine process will then begin.
