Unless marked, all livestock comes with our 15-Day Guarantee. You will receive a video of your fish eating before shipment. For size preference please add a note on your order and we will match your fish to your requested size. If you just want the fish without our QT process, Please email us directly with your order number. Please note this does waive the 15 day guarantee.

The Purple Reef Anemone (Condylactis gigantea) is a semi-aggressive species that is considered reef-safe with caution, admired for its vibrant purple coloration, long flowing tentacles, and striking appearance. These anemones bring movement and beauty to a reef aquarium but may sting nearby corals or other tankmates if placed too close.
Males typically display slightly larger oral discs and longer tentacles, while females and juveniles are often smaller with more compact tentacle structures. They reach about 12–16 inches across when fully expanded and should be housed in aquariums of at least 50 gallons to provide adequate space.
They prefer a setup with a stable sandbed and live rock for anchoring, along with moderate to strong water flow and lighting. Maintaining stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020–1.025, temperature ~72–79°F, pH ~8.1–8.4) is crucial for long-term health. Unlike fish, they will not jump, but they may wander the tank in search of a suitable spot, so corals should be placed carefully.
Diet should consist of meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, silversides, and finely chopped seafood, supplemented with occasional offerings of prepared frozen foods. With proper care, the Purple Reef Anemone becomes a standout centerpiece in a marine aquarium, admired for both its beauty and its role as a potential host for certain clownfish species.

On request, we also send photos/videos after arrival at IA. Some species are import-to-order (3-10 business days). Many common species are already cleared or near the end of QT.
Several species will be import-to-order and may take anywhere from 3-10 business days to secure. Once your fish is secured, you will be notified, and the quarantine process will then begin.
