Potter’s Leopard Wrasse (Macropharyngodon geoffroyi) is a reef-safe beauty with an expert‐level care requirement that makes it a true trophy fish. It features a peach-orange body covered in bright blue spots that shine under reef lighting, with males often showing richer and more intense patterning than females. It reaches about 4½ inches full grown. Best kept in an aquarium of 70+ gallons with plenty of live rock full of microinvertebrates to hunt, a deep fine sand substrate (so it can bury/sleep/rest comfortably), stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020-1.025; temp ~74-82°F; pH ~8.1-8.4), and peaceful tankmates since this wrasse is shy and needs cover to thrive. Diet should be carnivorous and frequent—enriched frozen mysis and brine shrimp, black worms or similar, offered several small meals per day.
