Pintail Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus isosceles) is a reef-safe species with a peaceful temperament, admired for its stunning coloration and elegant pin-tail shape. Males display bright orange-yellow fading into lavender underneath, with bold stripes that glow blue or pink, while females/juveniles are more uniformly orange with more subtle patterning. They reach about 5 inches adult size. Best kept in tanks of at least 90 gallons with plenty of live rock for hiding and grazing, open swimming space, stable water parameters, and a tight lid since this species is prone to jumping. Diet should include live copepods or small crustaceans, frozen mysis and brine shrimp, and high-quality marine pellets once feeding reliably.
