Pictoides Coris Wrasse

Pictoides/Blackstripe Coris Wrasse (Coris pictoides) is a bright, eye-catching fish that brings bold contrast and exotic flair to large reef tanks. It features a striking black stripe running from its snout through the eye to the upper tail, set against a whitish body with yellow fins and eye rims; juveniles show even more dramatic coloration that evolves with maturity. Reaches about 5-inches adult size. Best kept in tanks of at least 100 gallons, with plenty of sand substrate for burrowing, live rock for hiding and exploring, strong open swimming areas, a tight lid to prevent jumping, and very stable water conditions. Diet should be carnivorous: live or frozen foods like mysis, brine shrimp, high-quality pellets, plus occasional meaty treats to maintain health and vibrancy.
