Ornate Leopard Wrasse

The Ornate Leopard Wrasse (Macropharyngodon ornatus) is a visually striking and reef-safe species with a generally peaceful temperament, though males may show some aggression toward similarly shaped wrasses. It thrives in tanks of 55+ gallons with deep fine sand for burrowing and plenty of live rock for hiding and foraging. Its diet should be carnivorous: live copepods and small crustaceans, enriched frozen mysis or brine shrimp, and high-quality meaty pellets once settled. This fish is best for experienced aquarists who can maintain stable water (SG ~1.020-1.025, temp ~72-78°F, pH 8.1-8.4), low stress, and secure cover.

Sensitive species (Leopard Wrasses, Tamarin Wrasses, Deepwater species) have a small extra QT fee due to their special needs.

Several species will be import-to-order and may take anywhere from 3-10 business days to secure. Once your fish is secured, you will be notified, and the quarantine process will then begin.
