Orange Back Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus aurantidorsalis) is a reef-safe species with a peaceful temperament, though shy at first, admired for its striking color: brilliant orange along the back, magenta-stripe from head to tail, and contrasting purplish/blue tones beneath. It grows to about 3½-4½ inches adult length. Best kept in tanks of at least 90 gallons, with plenty of live rock for hiding and grazing, open swimming space, a deep fine sandbed, and a secure lid since it’s prone to jumping. Diet should include live copepods, frozen mysis and brine shrimp, supplemented with high-quality marine pellets once feeding reliably.
