Noronha Wrasse

Noronha Wrasse (Thalassoma noronhanum) is a vibrant and active reef fish native to Brazil’s oceanic islands, often found cleaning other species in shallow reef zones. Juveniles act as cleaners for surgeonfishes, parrotfishes, and grunts, while adults sport brighter electric blue, green, and yellow hues with striking facial lines. It reaches about 6 inches (13.3 cm) in length. Best kept in aquariums of at least 75 gallons, with open water for swimming, live rock for grazing and shelter, a fine sand substrate, and a secure lid (wrasses are jumpers). Diet should be small crustaceans, mysis, brine shrimp, enriched frozen foods, and frequent feedings to encourage feeding and coloration.
