Naoko's Fairy Wrasse

Naoko’s Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus naokoae) is a reef-safe species with a peaceful but lively temperament. Males display an array of vibrant colors — red, yellow, white, and black — often with a high, "shark-fin" shaped dorsal fin and flashier anal and dorsal fins with blue accents; females and juveniles are more subdued in coloration with softer tones and less intense markings. It grows to about 4 inches in adult size. Best kept in aquariums of at least 50 gallons, with plenty of live rock for hiding and grazing, a fine sand substrate, stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020-1.026, temperature ~72-79°F, pH ~8.1-8.4), and a tight fitting lid since these wrasses are known to jump. Its diet should include live or frozen meaty fare — mysis, brine shrimp, copepods — plus high-quality marine pellets once feeding reliably.
