Multicolor Angelfish

The Fish Multicolor Angelfish (Centropyge multicolor) is a semi-aggressive species that is reef-safe with caution, admired for its vibrant mix of yellow, blue, and lavender coloration, compact size, and striking body patterns.

Males typically display slightly brighter, more intense coloration with bolder markings, while females/juveniles are smaller, less vividly marked, and may appear more subdued in color until maturity.

They reach about 4 inches in adult size and should be housed in aquariums of at least 55 gallons. Provide ample live rock for grazing and hiding spots, caves, and moderate open swimming space, stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020–1.025, temp ~72–79°F, pH ~8.1–8.4), and a secure lid since many species are prone to jumping.

Diet should consist of a variety of mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, copepods, spirulina, quality marine angelfish pellets, and filamentous algae. With proper care, this fish makes a standout addition to the aquarium.
