Monsoon Fairy Wrasse

Monsoon Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus hygroxerus) is a reef-safe species with a peaceful temperament, highly prized for its striking color contrasts—males showing a black upper body with a bright yellow-orange head, white lower body, and vivid scarlet-red anal/pelvic fins; females are softer, with yellow-orange to red hues on the head and body, white underside, and subtle lavender stripes. It grows to about 2-3 inches in adult size. Best kept in aquariums of at least 40-50 gallons, with plenty of live rock for hiding and grazing, fine sand substrate, open swimming space, stable water parameters, and a tight lid since wrasses are known to jump. Diet should include live copepods/microfauna, frozen mysis and brine shrimp, and premium meaty pellets once feeding reliably.
