Mocha Ocellaris Clownfish

The Mocha Ocellaris Clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris x A. ocellaris var) is a semi-aggressive species that is reef-safe with caution, admired for its unique mocha-brown coloration, striking white bands, compact size, and playful personality.

Males typically remain smaller and more slender, displaying active but subordinate behavior, while females/juveniles are slightly larger, dominant, and often more vibrant in coloration.

They reach about 3–4 inches and should be housed in aquariums of at least 20 gallons. Provide a sandbed, live rock, ample hiding spots, and open swimming space, along with stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020–1.025, temperature ~72–79°F, pH ~8.1–8.4), and a secure lid since many clownfish are prone to jumping.

Diet should consist of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, high-quality pellets, and occasional algae, and with proper care this fish makes a standout addition to any marine aquarium.
