Misbar Sebae Clownfish (Amphiprion sebae) is a semi-aggressive species that is reef-safe with caution, admired for its contrasting dark body, white misbar patterning, and bright yellow tail.
Males typically remain smaller and may be less dominant, while females grow larger, become the dominant fish in a pair, and are more territorial. They reach about 5–6 inches in adulthood and should be housed in aquariums of at least 30 gallons.
Provide live rock with hiding spots, some open swimming space, and ideally an anemone host (such as Heteractis crispa) if possible. Maintain stable water parameters: salinity ~1.020–1.025, temperature 72–79°F, and pH 8.1–8.4, along with a secure lid since clownfish may jump.
Diet should consist of a varied mix of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, high-quality pellets, and some algae-based foods. With proper care, this fish makes a hardy, attractive, and standout addition to the marine aquarium.
