Misbar Percula Clownfish

The Misbar Percula Clownfish (Amphiprion percula) is a peaceful species that is reef-safe and admired for its vibrant orange coloration, unique misbar pattern (irregular black markings), and small size.

Males typically exhibit a slightly smaller size and may be more active and aggressive in protecting their territory, while females are usually larger, more dominant, and take the lead in social structures. Juveniles are often smaller with less defined markings compared to adults.

They reach about 3 inches in length as adults and should be housed in aquariums of at least 20 gallons to accommodate their activity levels and need for space.

Provide live rock for hiding spots and territorial boundaries, as well as stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020-1.025, temperature ~72-79°F, pH ~8.1-8.4), and ensure the aquarium has a secure lid, as Clownfish species are known to be prone to jumping.

Diet should consist of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, high-quality pellets, and occasional algae. With proper care, this fish makes a standout addition to the aquarium due to its unique appearance and peaceful temperament in reef setups.
