Midnight Lightning Ocellaris Clownfish, Bali Aquarich (Amphiprion ocellaris), It is a peaceful to semi-aggressive species that is reef-safe, admired for its jet-black body with bold, irregular lightning-like white patterns, unique designer morph lineage, and hardy nature.

Males typically remain smaller, less dominant, and may show submissive behavior (shaking/twitching) toward the female, while females/juveniles are larger, more dominant, and become the established “queen” of the pair.

They reach about 3–3.5 inches in adult size and should be housed in aquariums of at least 20–30 gallons. Provide live rock, hiding spots, and moderate open swimming space, along with a stable reef-like environment. Maintain water parameters with salinity ~1.020–1.025, temperature ~72–79°F, and pH ~8.1–8.4. A secure lid is recommended since clownfish may occasionally jump.

Diet should consist of a varied mix of mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, copepods, high-quality marine pellets, and occasional algae-based foods. With proper care, this fish makes a hardy, striking, and highly desirable addition to both reef and fish-only aquariums.
