Mauritius Mystery Wrasse (Pseudocheilinus dispilus) is a very rare and beautiful reef fish that brings both color and personality to medium reef tanks. It features mostly yellow tones with orange/pink stripes, accented by two spots on its gill lid, reaching just over 3 inches in adult size. Best kept in aquariums of at least 30 gallons, with plenty of rockwork, cracks, caves and crevices for hiding, moderate lighting, stable tropical water (salinity ~1.020-1.025; temperature ~72-78°F; pH ~8.1-8.4), and a tight lid since wrasses can jump. Diet should include small live or frozen meaty items such as mysis, brine shrimp, copepods, and high-quality prepared foods.
