Masked Goby

The Masked Goby (Coryphopterus personatus) is a peaceful species that is reef-safe, admired for its tiny size, translucent body, and distinctive dark "mask" marking across the eyes. Males typically display slightly more vivid markings and may exhibit courtship behavior during breeding periods, while females and juveniles are generally smaller and more subtly colored. They reach about 1 inch in adult size and should be housed in aquariums of at least 5 gallons, though a group can be kept in a nano reef tank of 10 gallons or more.

Provide ample live rock for perching and hiding spots, gentle flow, and open swimming areas. Maintain stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020-1.025, temp ~72-79°F, pH ~8.1-8.4), and use a tight-fitting lid, as their small size makes them excellent jumpers. Diet should consist of tiny meaty foods such as copepods, baby brine shrimp, finely chopped mysis, and micron-sized pellets or frozen preparations. With proper care, the Masked Goby is a charming and active addition to nano and reef aquariums, especially in peaceful community setups.

Several species will be import-to-order and may take anywhere from 3-10 business days to secure. Once your fish is secured, you will be notified, and the quarantine process will then begin.
