(Amphiprion ocellaris) is a peaceful species that is reef-safe, admired for its unique mocha-brown coloration, dramatic storm-like patterning, elongated flowing fins, and striking contrast between dark and light areas. These features give it a distinct and elegant appearance that makes it a prized addition to marine aquariums.

Males typically: have slightly shorter fins, subtler coloration, and less pronounced storm patterns compared to females.

Females/juveniles: exhibit longer fins, brighter mocha tones, and more dominant, vivid patterns that stand out in any aquarium.

They reach about 3–4 inches (7.5–10 cm) as adults and should be housed in aquariums of at least 30 gallons.

To ensure optimal health, provide a sandbed, plenty of live rock for shelter, multiple hiding spots, and open swimming space. Maintain stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020–1.025, temperature ~72–79°F, pH ~8.1–8.4), and secure the aquarium with a tight-fitting lid as clownfish are prone to jumping.

Diet should consist of a varied mix of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, high-quality pellets, and algae, ensuring proper growth, coloration, and vitality.
