Longfin Flurry Ocellaris Clownfish

The Longfin Flurry Ocellaris Clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris). It is a peaceful to semi-aggressive species that is reef-safe, admired for its unique long flowing fins, striking white-and-orange “flurry” pattern, bold black outlines, and captivating swimming style.

Males typically remain smaller, displaying the same coloration but slightly more slender bodies, while females/juveniles grow larger, with females often becoming the dominant fish in a pair and showing more robust body structure.

They reach about 3–4 inches in adulthood and should be housed in aquariums of at least 20–30 gallons. Provide live rock for hiding, a sandbed for stability, and open swimming space. Stable water parameters are essential: salinity 1.020–1.025, temperature 72–79°F, and pH 8.1–8.4. A secure lid is highly recommended, as clownfish can occasionally jump.

Diet should consist of a variety of meaty and plant-based foods, including mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, high-quality pellets, and some algae-based foods. With proper care, this fish makes a standout and eye-catching addition to reef aquariums.
