Longfin Black Storm Ocellaris Clownfish

The Longfin Black Storm Ocellaris Clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris). It is a peaceful to semi-aggressive species that is reef-safe, admired for its dramatic black-and-white coloration, flowing long fins, bold storm-like patterns, and unique designer appearance.

Males typically remain smaller, reaching about 2–2.5 inches, and often take on the role of tending eggs and defending the nest, while females/juveniles are larger (up to 3–3.5 inches), more dominant, and often the leaders within a pair or group.

They reach about 3–3.5 inches as adults and should be housed in aquariums of at least 20–30 gallons (larger is better, especially if kept with other tank mates). Provide live rock for hiding, open swimming space, and the option of anemones or coral hosts. Maintain stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020–1.025, temp ~72–79°F, pH ~8.1–8.4), and use a secure lid since these fish can be prone to jumping.

Diet should consist of a varied mix of frozen mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, copepods, high-quality pellets, marine flakes, and occasional algae-based foods. With proper care, this fish makes a standout, hardy, and visually stunning addition to any reef aquarium.
