Limbaugh's Chromis

Limbaugh's Chromis (Chromis limbaughi) is a peaceful species that is reef-safe, admired for its vivid electric blue and yellow coloration, schooling behavior, and hardy nature.

 Males typically display slightly brighter coloration and may show dominance in a group, while females/juveniles tend to have more subdued colors and smaller overall size.

They reach about 5–6 inches in adulthood and should be housed in aquariums of at least 70 gallons (larger tanks preferred for groups). Provide plenty of live rock for hiding, open swimming space, and stable reef structures, with stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020–1.025, temp ~72–79°F, pH ~8.1–8.4), and a secure lid since many Chromis species are prone to jumping.

Diet should consist of mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, copepods, quality marine pellets, and some algae-based foods to maintain health and coloration. With proper care, this fish makes a standout, active, and hardy addition to a reef or community aquarium.
