Lennardi Wrasse

The Lennardi Wrasse (Anampses lennardi) is a spectacular and extremely rare fish that rewards expert aquarists with its vibrant coloration and striking behavior. It reaches about 11-inches in length when mature and displays rugged sexual dimorphism juveniles have darker bodies with yellow dorsal fins, while adults develop brilliant blue and yellow stripes, especially dramatic in terminal males. Best housed in aquariums of 200+ gallons with a deep, fine sand bed (for its burrowing at night), ample live rock for hiding, stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020-1.025, temp ~72-79°F, pH ~8.1-8.4), and a secure lid because it’s an active swimmer and jump-risk. Its diet should be rich in meaty marine fare: frozen mysis, brine shrimp, copepods, chopped seafood, plus high-quality pellets once acclimated. Because of its rarity, sensitivity, large size, and price, this is very much a trophy fish for committed reef keepers.

International Aquatics Quarantine & Guarantee: All fish are checked by marine vets, given a formalin bath, and held for 14 days in copper-treated systems. We feed Selcon-soaked food with Kanaplex and Metroplex during quarantine. Unless marked, all livestock comes with our 15-Day Guarantee. You will receive a video of your fish eating before shipment. On request, we also send photos/videos after arrival at IA. Some species are import-to-order (3-10 business days). Many common species are already cleared or near the end of QT. Sensitive species (Leopard Wrasses, Tamarin Wrasses, Deepwater species) have a small extra QT fee due to their special needs.

Several species will be import-to-order and may take anywhere from 3-10 business days to secure. Once your fish is secured, you will be notified, and the quarantine process will then begin.
