Latezonatus Clownfish

The Latezonatus Clownfish is a semi-aggressive species that is reef-safe with caution, admired for its striking broad white mid-body band, dark contrasting coloration, and bright yellow face and fins.

Males typically remain smaller, slender, and less dominant, while females/juveniles grow larger, rounder, and more territorial as they mature.

They reach about 5–6 inches in adult size and should be housed in aquariums of at least 40–50 gallons (larger preferred if kept in pairs or with other tankmates).

Provide ample live rock with hiding spots and caves, open swimming space, and optional host anemones (though they may adapt to other corals or structures). Maintain stable water parameters: salinity 1.020–1.025, temperature 72–79°F, pH 8.1–8.4, and ensure a secure lid as they can be prone to jumping.

Diet should consist of a varied mix of frozen mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, copepods, high-quality pellets, and marine algae-based foods. With proper care, this fish makes a rare and standout centerpiece addition to any marine aquarium.
