Kuiter’s Leopard Wrasse (Macropharyngodon kuiteri) is a strikingly beautiful and expert-level wrasse, known for being reef-safe (with caution for small ornamental inverts), having a peaceful temperament, and displaying dramatic sexual color changes. Males develop brighter oranges, yellows, and green rings around a distinct black opercular spot; females and juveniles begin with more muted citrus/orange backgrounds with bluish-white leopard spotting. Best kept in tanks of 50-75+ gallons, with a fine deep sand bed for burrowing, plenty of live rock for hiding and foraging, stable water parameters (SG ~1.020-1.025, temp ~72-78°F, pH 8.1-8.4), and mellow flow. Its diet must be rich in meaty fare—live foods like copepods, amphipods, frozen mysis/brine shrimp, supplemented with quality pellet or flake food when accepted. Because of its sensitivity, stable environment and consistent feeding are required for it to thrive and show off its full coloration.

On request, we also send photos/videos after arrival at IA. Some species are import-to-order (3-10 business days). Many common species are already cleared or near the end of QT. Sensitive species (Leopard Wrasses, Tamarin Wrasses, Deepwater species) have a small extra QT fee due to their special needs.
Several species will be import-to-order and may take anywhere from 3-10 business days to secure. Once your fish is secured, you will be notified, and the quarantine process will then begin.
