A Fish Koran Angelfish, Juvenile (Pomacanthus semicirculatus) is a semi-aggressive species that is reef-safe with caution, admired for its striking coloration, intricate semicircular juvenile patterns, and graceful adult transformation.

Males typically display vivid, bolder coloration and may grow slightly larger, while females/juveniles show the iconic electric-blue semicircle patterns that fade as they mature into more muted greenish-blue with speckled scales.

They reach about 15 inches in adulthood and should be housed in aquariums of at least 180 gallons. Provide ample live rock for grazing and hiding, open swimming space, and secure hiding spots, along with stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020–1.025, temp ~72–79°F, pH ~8.1–8.4), and a secure lid since many angelfish are prone to jumping.

Diet should consist of a varied mix of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, high-quality pellets, marine algae, and sponge-based frozen foods, ensuring both meaty and herbivorous components. With proper care, this fish makes a stunning centerpiece and long-term standout addition to the aquarium.
