Golden Trevally

Golden Trevally (Gnathanodon speciosus) – The Golden Trevally is a dazzling open-water species that captivates with its brilliant golden-yellow body marked by bold vertical black stripes. Juveniles are especially striking, often seen schooling together with their radiant coloration, while adults grow into large, streamlined predators capable of reaching impressive sizes. Highly active and fast swimmers, Golden Trevallies require very spacious aquariums with strong filtration and plenty of open water to roam. Peaceful when young but powerful as adults, they are best suited for advanced aquarists with large marine systems who want a bold, commanding display fish.
