Fourline Wrasse (Pseudocheilinus tetrataenia) is a reef-safe, semi-aggressive wrasse that draws attention whenever it swims — it features four bright, clean horizontal stripes over a green body with yellow-orange highlights between the stripes. Males are more vibrant and may flash color during display, while females and juveniles are more subdued but still beautifully patterned. It reaches about 3 inches in adult size. Best kept in aquariums of at least 50-55 gallons, with plenty of live rock and hiding places, a fine sand substrate for comfort, stable reef water parameters (salinity ~1.020-1.025; temperature ~72-78°F; pH ~8.1-8.4), and a tight lid since Fourline Wrasses are known jumpers. Diet should be rich and varied: small crustaceans, mysis and brine shrimp, zooplankton, and high-quality marine pellets to keep colors vibrant and body condition solid.
