Fisher's Angelfish

The Fisher's Angelfish (Centropyge fisheri) is a semi-aggressive species that is reef-safe with caution, admired for its striking coloration, intricate patterns, and compact size. Males typically display brighter, more vivid hues with distinct markings, while females and juveniles are slightly paler with subtler patterns. They reach about 4 inches (10 cm) in adult size and should be housed in aquariums of at least 50 gallons. Provide a mix of live rock, hiding spots, and open swimming areas to mimic their natural habitat, along with stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020–1.025, temperature ~72–79°F, pH ~8.1–8.4) and a secure lid, as this species can be prone to jumping. Their diet should consist of a variety of foods including mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, algae, and high-quality pellets. With proper care, the Fisher’s Angelfish adds vibrant color and personality, making it a standout addition to any marine aquarium.
