Filamented Flasher Wrasse

Filamented Flasher Wrasse (Paracheilinus filamentosus) is a reef-safe, peaceful flasher wrasse that turns heads with its elongated dorsal “filaments,” vivid coloration, and dynamic flashing behavior during courtship—male fish blaze with red, orange, yellow, and blue accents while females are more subdued but just as graceful. It reaches about 3½-5 inches adult size. Best kept in tanks of at least 55 gallons if single, larger for groups, with lots of live rock for hiding and grazing, open swimming space, a secure lid (wrasses are excellent jumpers), stable tropical marine water parameters (salinity ~1.020-1.025; temp ~72-78°F; pH ~8.1-8.4), and regular feeding of meaty fare (mysis, brine shrimp, finely chopped seafood) plus quality marine pellets.

Several species will be import-to-order and may take anywhere from 3-10 business days to secure. Once your fish is secured, you will be notified, and the quarantine process will then begin.
