Eyebrow Barnacle Blenny

Eyebrow Barnacle Blenny ([Ekemblemaria myersi]) is a semi-aggressive species that is reef-safe with caution, admired for its distinctive tan-to-dark-brown coloration, vertical brown bars, small size, unique barnacle-like head shape, and charming personality.

Males typically have brighter coloration with more defined barring and a prominent ocellated spot on the gill cover, while females/juveniles are slightly paler with less distinct markings.

They reach about 2¾ inches and should be housed in aquariums of at least 30 gallons.

Provide a sandbed, live rock formations, ample hiding spots, and some open swimming space, along with stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020–1.025, temp ~72–79°F, pH ~8.1–8.4), and a secure lid since many species are prone to jumping.

Diet should consist of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, finely chopped crustaceans, and high-quality pellets, and with proper care this fish makes a standout addition to the aquarium.
