Exquisite Fairy Wrasse

The Exquisite Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus exquisitus) is a high-end reef-safe fairy wrasse with a peaceful temperament and show-stopping color. Males reach about 5 inches in size, females a bit smaller. Males display a greenish body with brighter hues of blue, pink, red and orange on the head, fins, and tail, and often a distinctive dark spot on the caudal peduncle; females and juveniles are more muted, with softer tones and less intense pattern. Best kept in tanks of at least 70-90 gallons, with deep fine sand, plenty of live rock for hiding, shaded retreats, calm flow, and stable water conditions. Diet should be rich in carnivorous fare — live copepods or small crustaceans, frozen mysis & brine shrimp, and high-quality pellets once feeding reliably. Because this species is sensitive to stress (shipping, water fluctuations, aggressive tankmates), it’s better suited for keepers who can provide patience, consistency, and excellent aquarium setup.
