Delicate Blenny

The Delicate Blenny (Glyptoparus delicatulus). It is a semi-aggressive species that is not reef-safe, admired for its cryptic coloration, compact size, and unique habit of darting between rock crevices. Males typically display slightly more vivid colors and subtle territorial behavior, while females and juveniles have softer tones and are less aggressive. They reach about 2 inches in adult size and should be housed in aquariums of at least 10 gallons.

Provide a sandbed, plenty of live rock, hiding spots, and open swimming space, along with stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020–1.025, temperature ~72–79°F, pH ~8.1–8.4), and a secure lid since this species is prone to jumping. Diet should consist of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, pellets, and algae-based foods. With proper care, the Delicate Blenny makes a unique and fascinating addition to the aquarium, adding both personality and natural charm to the tank environment.
