Coral Beauty Angelfish

The Coral Beauty Angelfish (Centropyge bispinosa) is a semi-aggressive species that is reef-safe with caution, admired for its vibrant coloration, striking patterns, small size, and hardy nature. Males typically display more intense coloration, slightly larger size, and a more pronounced dorsal fin, while females and juveniles are smaller with less intense coloration and a predominantly orange appearance. They reach about 4 inches in length and should be housed in aquariums of at least 55 gallons. Their habitat should include live rock for grazing, hiding spots, and open swimming space, with a sandbed being optional but beneficial for natural behavior. Stable water parameters are essential, including salinity around 1.020–1.025, temperature 72–79°F, and pH 8.1–8.4, and a secure lid is recommended as they may jump. Their diet should consist of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, algae, spirulina, and high-quality marine pellets. With proper care, the Coral Beauty Angelfish is a hardy, colorful, and standout addition to any marine aquarium.
