Colored Blue Tip Sebae Anemone

The Colored Blue Tip Sebae Anemone (Heteractis crispa) is a semi-aggressive invertebrate that is reef-safe with caution, admired for its striking blue-tipped tentacles, vibrant coloration, large size, and unique hosting symbiosis with clownfish. Males typically are slightly smaller, with more vivid coloration and shorter tentacles, while females and juveniles are generally larger with longer, flowing tentacles and slightly muted coloration. They can reach about 12–16 inches in diameter and should be housed in aquariums of at least 75 gallons. This species requires a deep sandbed, plenty of live rock for anchoring, moderate hiding spots, and open swimming space, along with stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020–1.025, temperature ~72–79°F, pH ~8.1–8.4) and a secure lid since they are prone to jumping. Their diet should consist of meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, finely chopped seafood, and high-quality pellets.
