Circular Dragonet

Circular Dragonet (Synchiropus circularis) is one of the more rarely seen dragonets in the trade, also known as the “Circled Dragonet,” prized for its muted yet striking pattern of red and yellow tones with subtle blue spotting and larger yellow spots rimmed in white and black. It can reach nearly 4 inches in size and is best housed in mature reef setups of 30 gallons or more, with deep sandbeds and abundant rockwork for hiding, grazing, and foraging. This species is peaceful and reef-safe, but tends to be shy and slow to feed; a steady supply of live pods is critical, and many individuals require careful acclimation and patience.
