Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse

Carpenter’s Flasher Wrasse (Paracheilinus carpenteri) is a reef-safe, peaceful flasher wrasse beloved by hobbyists for its dramatic color transitions and jaw-dropping courtship displays. Juveniles are a bright orange with bold vertical blue stripes, and as they mature their body lightens to yellow with broken horizontal blue lines; males develop elongated dorsal rays in red accented with yellows and blues and intensify color when showing off to females. Adults max out at about 3 inches in length. Best kept in tanks of at least 55 gallons, with plenty of live rock for hiding and grazing, some open water for flashing displays, stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020-1.025; temp ~72-78°F; pH ~8.1-8.4), fine substrate, and a secure lid since this wrasse is a jumper. Diet should be meaty and varied — frozen mysis and brine shrimp, small crustaceans, vitamin-enriched pellets or flakes to support color, offered several times per day.

Several species will be import-to-order and may take anywhere from 3-10 business days to secure. Once your fish is secured, you will be notified, and the quarantine process will then begin.
